THE ROLE
We’re looking for two experienced Line Producers to join our team on fixed-term maternity cover contracts, starting in April and May. The focus of these roles is to ensure that the production delivers on budget and schedule to our partners and to Magic Light Pictures’ creative vision.
You’ll work closely with our talented team, collaborating across departments to facilitate a smooth and efficient production process.
Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Magic Light Series Producer, these fixed term roles will include:
Budget & Finance
• Track and approve costs, reporting to SP and flagging under/overspend.
• Manage cashflow, ensuring accuracy and reporting movement to leadership.
• Ensure payment triggers are met and liase with finance on invoicing and potential delays. • Oversee invoice tracking and MLP cost reports.
• Review animation studio cost reports, ensuring alignment with budget.
• Manage tax credit claims and financial reporting.
Schedule & Production Workflow
• Maintain and manage the production schedule, across all areas of production ensuring key milestones are met.
• Oversee production approvals by SP, EP’s and broadcasters to align with deadlines. • Create and maintain schedules specifically fpr scripting, voice recording, audio post production, delivery and marketing assets.
• Contract third parties and ensure legal paperwork is complete across the production.
Broadcast & Delivery
• Oversee all delivery requirements.
Animation Studio Collaboration
• Work closely with the studio’s Line Producer to maintain schedule and efficiency and ensuring a clear and transparent line of communication from them on what the production issues are at any given time.
• Review weekly and monthly reporting from the studio to track progress across the production. • Support and ensure Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and training initiatives meet the established targets.
Post-Production & Distribution
• Oversee final picture reviews, audio post, and mastering for delivery.
• Ensure all assets meet broadcast and distribution requirements.
• Manage sign language versions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research AI tools for production efficiency.
• Ensure Albert sustainability certification is achieved.
• Lead on diversity targets and industry best practices.
• Manage tax credit applications and certification.
• Line Manage the Production Co-ordinator.
