JOB DESCRIPTION:

We’re looking for a culturally curious, dynamic and experienced Social Media & PR Manager to join our team. They will be experienced and excited about social media and new content trends, and have experience planning and executing social campaigns. They will be a confident and skilled communicator, able to guide our clients to help them reach their social media objectives. A natural connector they will have a track record for building and engaging with communities online and in real life. They will also have experience managing talent and influencers and traditional & digital lifestyle PR. A creative thinker, they will be ambitious and driven, with the position offering room to grow.

This role offers excellent variety with time split between social media & content (70%), Talent and Influencer management (20%) and traditional and digital PR (10%).

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

Social Media and Content (70% of role)

  • Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for Margaret’s brand clients, able to drive a project forward confidently and update the client on project progress and answer questions promptly

  • Develop and implement a creative, social media strategy for our existing and new clients, plus our owned channels

  • Develop and own social content calendars, developing and using clear communication channels for client feedback and sign off. Working with clients to ensure efficient and timely delivery of content for them.

  • Brief and manage our Creative Studio on the delivery of social media-first content. Even better if you have basic content creation experience/skills

  • A creative thinker who can concept and plan explicit and impactful social media content; understands the formats, copywriting, and posting approach. Needed to make our posts perform strongly.

  • Produce regular reports, identify trends, insights and make relevant recommendations

  • Liaise effectively with client contacts and project manage delivery of campaigns, building strong and friendly working relationships

  • Proactive in staying on top of new trends, emerging platforms, formats and viral content

  • Be experienced in analytics and performance tracking -be able to track and analyse social media performance using analytics tools and adapt campaigns accordingly

  • Manage and nurture our Production Assistant, training and motivating them to build online communities for our clients and building channels.

  • Be experienced in and able to manage and guide clients through paid social media advertising, optimising campaigns for reach, engagement, and conversions.

  • Have a good understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem, be able to update our website and create Margaret newsletters.

Influencer and Talent Management (20% of role)

  • You will manage our influencer campaigns successfully with excellent knowledge of best practices for building relationships with our creative network to create the best output. Adept at using measurement tools to report their success to our clients.

  • You will have experience of drafting talent and influencer talent contracts and briefing packs

  • You will work collaboratively with team members (both upwards and downwards) to meet agreed KPIs and ensure that systems and planning tools are being used effectively.

  • Organising and attending media and influencer events and regional UK/international press trips as required.

  • You will have an existing network and be keen to develop it further into a vast creative network of established and emerging creative and diverse connections.

  • Culturally curious and connected by nature, you will feed into and lead new business proposals and activation ideas across arts, film, festivals, photography and hospitality to client proposals and new business opportunities.

Traditional and digital lifestyle PR (10% of role)

  • You will be adept at delivering quality, on-message media coverage in credible and high-profile outlets, building close relationships with media, and selling story concepts to the UK and international press.

  • Prepared good quality and creatively written materials such as key messaging hierarchy, press releases, media plans, copy for socials, presentations and pitches.

The ideal candidate :

  • 5+ years experience in a communications role at an agency or in-house covering PR and social media.

  • Great knowledge and connections within the cultural scenes in the UK. Knowledge of who is on trend in music, fashion and arts & culture.

  • Have proven experience working on PR campaigns for hospitality, music, festivals, food & drink and lifestyle brands.

  • Great project management skills and the ability to work across several client projects at once.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of lifestyle and arts & culture media, both in the UK and internationally, across various media platforms (Online, Print, Broadcast and Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

  • Experience of managing and measuring successful influencer campaigns.

  • Excellent client management skills – reporting, presenting updates confidently on calls/ video meetings and in person, listening to and responding positively and proactively to feedback

  • Basic design skills – to be able to resize press images, pull together keynote proposals and media campaign reports

  • Available for occasional weekends and evenings, depending on client needs - i.e launch events and press trips

  • Fluent English with excellent written skills and knowledge of how to create press materials and engaging content.
