JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Partnership Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimising strategic partnerships that align with our company goals and objectives. As Partnerships Manager, you will leverage your interpersonal skills and industry expertise to identify potential partnership opportunities for Malachite’s growing portfolio of brands.
THE ROLE
Build and maintain strong external relationships with potential sponsors, corporate partners, and supporters, by securing and leading new business meetings.
Develop and implement partnership strategies that drive engagement and maximise value for both parties.
Creation of sales materials such as pitch decks, making updates and changes where necessary.
Manage existing partnerships by maintaining regular communication and addressing any issues that arise.
Negotiation of partnership agreements and contracts to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
Overseeing contract agreements and consulting legal departments when appropriate.
Successfully pitching creative and strategic presentations to win new business.
Management of onboarding processes for new sponsors and partners, liaising with internal teams, including marketing and sales, to ensure alignment and leverage partnership opportunities effectively.
Monitor and analyse partnership performance metrics, providing regular updates to management on results and potential areas for improvement.
Utilisation of LinkedIn, social media, and networking at events to source new leads and prospects.
Management and maintenance of partnerships CRM pipeline, to ensure best practices and good data hygiene.
Running of creative sessions to inform strategies and pitches to brands.
Candidate Requirements
3 years’ experience in music brand partnerships (sales or project management).
Personal network of brand partners (in Europe, US and Africa).
Self-motivated, reliable and someone who thrives on cultivating connections.
Affinity with Afro Beats, Amapiano and Hip Hop music genres.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills and used to working in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and the ability to ensure all outputs are of the highest quality.
Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Excellent interpersonal communications skills, including tact and assertiveness, and the ability to communicate at all levels in a complex environment.
Strong entrepreneurial skills and commercial awareness.
Ability to work with senior contacts and co-ordinate the activities of staff and contributors at all levels both internally and externally.
Ability to tackle challenges constructively and find creative ways forward.
